Structure of the Executive MBA of IESE
The Executive MBA is designed for high-potential managers, executives and entrepreneurs who want to boost their careers. The program delivers an intense and transformative experience that maximizes participant’s leadership, decision-making and entrepreneurial capabilities to enhance their personal development and prepare them for any challenge they will face in their careers.
The EMBA is held at the Munich campus in a three-week format. Class days are Thursday (evening), Friday and Saturday. This makes the program ideally suited as a part-time continuing education program.
The standard period of study is 18 months.
The Executive MBA also includes 6 intensive weeks. In the first year of study, two of these are held at the Munich campus and two at the Barcelona campus. Through electives in the second year of study, an additional two weeks are held optionally at the campus facilities in Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Nairobi, New York, or Madrid.
Student Body
Each MBA participant is unique, resulting in the multi-faceted learning environment of IESE Business School. Students come from many industries and countries and work in a variety of disciplines. However, they all have one thing in common: a passion for personal and professional growth.
The average profile of IESE Campus Munich students consists of professionals with at least 5 years of professional experience working or preparing to work in responsible positions in the business sector. A good command of English and strong analytical skills, as assessed by GMAT or IESE test scores, are required.
IESE also promotes women in business positions. Initiatives such as the Women Executive Club (WEC, an exclusive network that promotes the education, networking, and support of women in business) and the Female Talent Scholarship have increased the percentage of women in the Executive MBA to 37%.
