When and how did you decide to pursue an MBA degree programme?
My decision to pursue an MBA came after years of international experience. Having worked in various corporate contexts, I felt the need to further refine my managerial and strategic skills. I realised that an MBA would enhance my ability to take on leadership roles and effectively manage global challenges.
What were the most important aspects you considered when choosing the programme and the business school/university? And did you also tap into a network of alumni in the fields of European Policy, Sustainable Business Development, Digital Marketing, Hotel & Real Estate Management, Consulting, and Entrepreneurship?
When I chose the MBA programme at Modul University Vienna, the most important aspects I considered were the university’s academic reputation and its international accreditation. The strategic location in Vienna attracted me because of the networking and career opportunities it could offer. These moments allowed me to meet professionals from various fields, create meaningful relationships, and build a diverse network of contacts, which has proven invaluable in my current job. This network provided me with access to expert advice, guest lecture collaborations, and public speaking opportunities. For instance, throughout my studies and even after my graduation, I have been invited several times as a guest speaker to join different lectures and other significant events. This has been an enriching experience, allowing me to help other students and professionals benefit from my personal experiences.
Furthermore, the flexible and practice-oriented curriculum played a crucial role in my decision, as I pursued the MBA alongside a full-time job.
